1.  Being new to this interviewer tell us a bit about how Dead End (Finland) can to be and how the 4 full length are different to one and nother?

Dead End’s history goes back more than ten years with same musicians. Our style has evolved with every album towards more recognizable and unique. We see our fourth album as the most balanced and harmonious.

-------

2. I hear elements of  Dark Tranquility, Scar Symmetry , Moonspell and Amorphis where these bands that inspired you?

Yes, those are great bands and are for sure some we have been listening to.  However, our musical inspiration stems from versatile sources. On our albums you can hear references from Scooter to David Bowie.

-------

3. Love the mix of heavy synths mixed with the Clean/ Guttural vocals . Do you see the band moving more torward the more electro industrial metal side or has this always been the game plan?

Epic soundscape has been quite recognizable for us since beginning. With each album, we've developed our style. We have seen a kind of a natural development towards the direction we like and how we want Dead End to sound.

-------

4. Is there a story or theme behind  Inter Vivos?

Not really. Each song tells its own story. The themes of the songs are pretty gloomy, but maybe you could find a ray of light here and there.

-------

5. How does the artwork tie into the overall ideal of Inter Vivos?

Inter vivos stands for an agreement that will expire only after the death of the other party. Cover art reflects the very moment the soul lifts out of the body.

-------

6. Finland really does have a very defined style and sound of Extreme metal you can almost hear the experimentation in many bands from there ?  What do the members of Dead End ( Finland) think makes Finnish Metal so different?

Perhaps we get our inspiration from long cold winters and overwhelming darkness.

-------

7. If you could make a proper video for any track off  Inter Vivos which would it be and how would you like it to look?

We actually did a video for the song Lifelong Tragedy. I think we managed to capture the mood we wanted on the video.

-------

8. This is the 3rd proper album with Inverse Records 1st why do you think the partnership continues and what at end of the day do you hope continues from it?

Our cooperation with Inverse has been straightforward and it has worked well. I hope it will continue.

-------

9.  Visuals and Aesthetics are very important in extreme music especially. Were do you feel that these things have made a band like  Dead End (Finland) stand out?

From the beginning we have had a passion for excellence in everything we do. Whether it's music, videos or pics.

-------

10. If I was to as you to describe the band to someone listening to Inter Vivos for very 1st time how would you do it before thier 1st listen?

Get comfy and find a peaceful moment. Our music is meant to be listened to without interference. Maybe with headphones or good speakers and with proper volume. There are so many layers and nuances that can be missed, if you listen to our records only in the background or without focusing on listening.

-------

11. Lyrics or Musical which is the way most Dead End ( Finland) songs begin and becomes full songs?

We always start from music and composing.

-------

12. Social media, Podcasts, Digital Age is it a rebirth for underground music or making it all the harder with so many Bedroom bands popping up?

Both. Streaming makes it easy to deliver music for anyone to listen, but on the other hand it makes extremely difficult to stand out.

-------

13. What Bands or Artist impressing the members currently?

Right now Borgnagar, Knogjärn and soundtrack music are the sources of inspiration.

-------

14. If you could tour with anyone who would it be and why?

Dead End Finland doesn't do live concerts. But, if we were touring, we could do a tour with Soilwork for example. Their music has been a source of inspiration for us from the beginning.

-------

15. Thank you any closing thoughts here.

Thanks for the interview and thanks for listening to Dead End Finland
