From MN..Hive have much in common with Integrity and APT213 .. Yes they must be influences .Ah Blistering Crusty and Grinding Hardcore the best way possible. This Scandinavian force is what I would call leaning towards what is D Beat . With Hive we are getting way more Grinding Hardcore in the way the fury and power is coming from those vocals and musical blasts. If you love bands like His Hero is Gone, Rise from the Ashes, Damad, Dropdead, Nails, Immortal Bird and Noisem. There really isnt too much more to say. If you like your Hardcore Dirty, Nasty with a Catchy element to it all then this is the go to the album for all of us.

Wallowing- Planet Loss- CD/ Digital /LP ( Sludgelord Records & Black Voodoo Records)
There are times Doom bands just scratch that itch and Wallowing open it up and let that sore slowly fester in to the bleak and ugly beauty that Sludgy slow Doom can bring me . If you are a fan of bands like Noothgrush, Eyehategod, Primitive man, Cavity and Grief you will get the feels listening to this gem of a noisy, feedback ridden hateful music journey. Planet Loss is just crushing in tone and vocal assaults there is not happy or easy about this album . Sometimes you just need to kick down the door and put a beatdown to the world around you and guess what my readers this is what Wallowing is doing in a very musical suffocating fashion. Slow and Slumbering riffs that come to a violent boil by the end of most of songs and then they mix in that crusty speedy doom tones just to be the most extreme of pissed off. I just want more please and thank you Wallowing.
VICTIMS- The Horse And Sparrow Theory-CD/ Digital/LP (Relapse )
I must be just picking all the Crusty Hardcore and Doom album in this edition and with VICTIMS we are once again in that Hardcore meets Crust punk dirge going on this time for Sweden surprise as this is not home of some of the best Crusty Hardcore .. Victims with The Horse and the Sparrow Theory gives me that early Neurosis, Man is the Bastard and Discharge side of the fence and I want it no other way with a band like Victims. Keep it fast, short, catchy and mean sounding . The have a bit of that Baptists and Tragedy sound going on as well. Hardcore with venom is something I've been drawn to for a while so there is no shock I'm digging this as much as I am. Relapse thank you for exposing this to the world the only other labels that could do this justice in 2019 are 20 buck spin and or Southern Lord in my humble opinion. Victims keep that fire alive !!!
Pacifist -Greyscale Dreams- Digital (Independent )
From the eastern lands of India we get Pacifist which is a mix of noise rock, hardcore and heavy melodic punk. Somewhere in the mix of labels like Amrep, Revelation Records and Touch and Go. I hear elements of bands like Quicksand, Drive like Jehu, Metz and Helmet for sure going on through out this album maybe even Jawbreaker and Unwound at times .There is some impressive and aggressive output going on here. I would say yes the Discord flag waves very much here with what Pacifist is creating with this 4 song cry out of an EP. You can hear the Fugazi and Shudder to think coming through the speakers . India you have a kick ass Hardcore punk force with Pacifist indeed!!!
