Mmmmm  what do we have here a post punk, post hardcore , Dark Gothic indie rock inspired band that reminds me of bands like Love and rockets, Nick Cave, Sister of Mercy, Beast Milk and Killing Joke to mane a few. There is very somber moments then we get is some very aggro and dark and disturbing vibes. At times Throat as a very Doom metal vibe running through it all. The passion and fury is good way to add those very Swans and Neubauten moments of harsh noise and industrial venom.  There at times Throat even remind of  Sonic Youth and Pixies in how they are presenting it all . Very impressive mix of sounds that work into a Post Noise Metallic Noise fest. Keep it up . Oh MC5 would be proud too.

Maligner -Attraction to Annihilation -CD/Digital/LP  ( Blood Harvest )

There are two kinds of metal that seems to work on many different levels Progressive Thrash and Death melding together can be amazing or just middle of the road with Maligner they seem to come from school of mixing bands like  Dark Angel, Early Slayer,. Kreator , Old Obituary, Sepultura and Death into some that is melodic , technical and brutal in a way that makes you want to listening to it more and more   As the album progresses it just goes into more amazing thrashing and prog metal acrobatics. This just makes you want to see what is going to come next  . Though Maligner takes a que from the late 80s and Early 90's they really do make it something all there own as well were bands like Power Trip are doing the same thing. I very Pleased to have going this to listen to and reviews. As Maligner is the kind of band that bridges Extreme Thrash with Death metal for the next generation and this is needed cause that how many of us of the decades got to the Death metal we so love and adore .

Nereis -Turning Point  -CD/ Digital ( Eclipse Records )

There are times were a band album right out of the gate catches you will the melody and harmonies coming from the headphones or speakers well with Nereis you have this vibe of  Power. Prog and Thrash metal with those vocals and guitars that great 80's hard rock and metal vibe. If you are into bands like Kamelot, Blind Guardian and Rhaspody sprinkle in band like  Judas Priest, Iced Earth and then bands like  Ayreon , Kings X and Galactic Cowboys and with the thrash is more like Anthrax, Lazz Rocket and White Zombie. to name a few . I know there are more then a few bands and genres there but I'm telling you I hear all of this in music and vocals in Nereis. This album is produced to perfection too and it makes me want to headbanging all day long . These clean harmony vocals are just making me fall in love this Nereis . There is a heaviness to all of this that makes you want to relive some great retro metal indeed. At the end of the day Nereis you need to get this out to the masses and this album will be a massive success.
