5 New Reviews 8/25/2013 ( Experimental Edition)
Kine- Meditations on April Green- CD/ Digital ( Alrealon Musique)
Experimental Jazzy/ Musicque Konkret from Vietnam you don't hear much form the experimental music world coming from Southeast Asia. Just from the intro moments of hearing this I get the vibe of bands like Rapoon, Ulver and Mandible Chatter from what I hear. There are also minimalist moments of projects like Aube and Final traveling through out this release. I don't want to call this Ambient music as its much more then that. There is on beat driven or that invisible records stamp on it but they have a lot in common with Lunar Bear Ensemble as well. I love the drone, loops and altered jazzy tones through out the release and the noisey backdrops that are going on here. The almost Monk like chanting and spoken throat vocals in Vietnamese work to make it a very haunting and powerful release to say the least. By no means an easy or mainstream listen but so rewarding if your into experimental avant music.
Pas Musique- Abandoned Bird Egg- CD/ Digital ( Alrealon Musique)
Well Well Well so what if a Noise rock guitars learned to love Break Beats, Dub and Eastern Ambient music. Oh then they would have created Pas Musique. Abandoned Bird Egg sounds like Early Cop Shoot Cop and NiN mixed in with bands like Emergency Broadcast system, Sonic Youth and Television. Pas Musique is what would happen if Music Game music was created my Painters and Power Noise artists. Abandoned Bird Egg is as appealing and bizarre and irritating . We have creativity and experimentation at the highest of orders going on here. I can promise you this album is unlocking something from another Dimension for good or evil I can not say but something is coming through and will alter our beliefs and laws for ever. I love collage music and that is what Pas Musique and I hope then never change.
The Blue Project- Adrift- CD/Digital ( Eibon Records)
Stunning Ethno Ethereal music with some the most powerful female vocals I have heard in whilt very much in the Rajna and Third and the Mortal style of aural sounds. It reminds me a lot of Sanctum 1st release Lupus in Fabula. Were you are not really ever prepared for an album of this Majesty and Mystery. The Blue Project touches ones very soul with fragile music moments and extreme avant jazz / drone/ neoclassic music flowing through out the release If you have heard Mira on Projekt label there are very similar elements as well as some parts of Lycia. You know where I am going with this . The Blue Project is an album not to music if you are a fan of this style and ideal.

Colloquio- L'entrata L'uscita-CD/ Digital (Eibon Records)
I
know this is going to sound like a wierd review what every time I
hear Colloquio the 3 artists that come to mind are Nick Cave, Boyd
Rice and Einstürzende Neubauten. If these 3 artists and music
visionaries made minimal post industrial music with a strong drift
element and post rock vibe then they would be the very recording I'm
listening to. Colloquio also reminds me very much of Tom Waits. The
lush Pianos, Horns and Bass lines really just make you feel this is
more an event them just an album the electronic and waves of
frequencies are where the very experimental side comes from more of
an Avro Part. There is very much a kinship with Steve Roach and
Robert Rich in presentation as well. EIbon makes the best
experimental releases that never expand to a wider audience and it's
just very fustrating to say the least. This is a must listen for
anymore that wants to hear what the future of experimental music
really is...

Bangladeafy- The Briefcase-CD/ Digital (Nefarious Industries)
Post Avant Jazz core Noise nerd rock.. This is like every moment of chaos in you life rolled into one with one of the music insane Bass/ Drum combos on earth. Imagine for a moment Sun Run, Sonic Youth and Yes all creating a band and recording the music you will have Bangladeafy all day long. Sometimes this album is more extreme and powerful then any metal or hardcore album and there is never a metallic moment here. Bangladeafy defy genre as they mix Surf, Spagetti Westerns, Jazz, Noise Rock, Prog and Electronic free form music to a post that nothing sounds like them at all and this will be something you have to witness to every understand. I'm a convert to the temple of Bangladeafy . Behold the power over Bass, Drums, Organs, Piano and the Human voice !!!!
