Bloodline- Hate Procession-CD (Canonical Hours)
mmmm Barbaric noise black metal with a strong hypnotic melodic cold tone. Reminds me a lot of bands like Burzum, Xasthur and Leviathan.. The synthic drums and bass lines add a very electro industrial vibe to the grim shouted vocals. Bloodline have a martial on top of all this to make i t akin to bands like Marduk, Puissance and even Sophia at times. There is a fine line between Black metal and Martial Industrial with this release. Its seems to be a black metal super group with members of Shining, Diabolicum an Naglfar to name a few. Bloodline has a very unnerving and disturbing collection of artwork from Murdered, Murderers and Terrorist in the pages. Just by the 1st few track you can tell this release was a labor of Torment and madness in the making. Bloodline is not an easy listen but the pay off is well worth it. Experimenting in the Metal, Industrial and Neoclassic genres pays off very well for this unit. I very much look forward to more..

Malfeitor -Incubus-CD (Agonia Records)
Black Death with the grimest of all Black vocal style we have here. This does from time to time become a blast fest but this is how Malfeitor wants its and that is very clear. I almost want to call this war metal as it reminds me a lot of Bloodstorm in the style and sounds presented to the listener. The droning cold BM style of the old Poland and Nord guard is very much present here as well. Malfeitor like to give you the Florida death metal sound in a lot of the lead guitar work going on too. There is a very high Satanic / Corpse Paint factor in a band like this . They are looking to remove the thoughts of joy from the listener and show them the world is not a great place . There is pain and suffering and this is what makes us all human in the end... Agonia as become the new Full Moon Production to me with there band and ideals the present to the world. Enough said...

Tournament- years old- CD (Forcefield Records)
late 80s/ early 90's Indie Noise rock is making a big comeback to my ears and with Tournament they have the love of bands like Jesus Lizard, Surgery and Helmet with a bit of Sabbath like groove moments thrown in just to make it all the more of a kick ass sound. Also if you remember bands like Green Magnet School, Guzzard and Janitor Joe then you got a very good cross reference on what this band is doing the manic guitar, vocals just spewing out anger and the drums and bass just looking to be loud dirty and nasty. This band would have be Subpop, Touch and Go or SST golden boys back in the day. There not really more to this release other then it makes me remember want Rock Bands cared about making creative foreward thinking track that werent 3 :30 4/4 beat based commerical fodder. GET THIS and learn your indie properly...
